What RegoSnap is
RegoSnap reads used-car listings and PPSR certificates that you give it, and summarises what it finds. It is a pre-screen to help you ask better questions — it is not a mechanical inspection, a valuation, a legal opinion, or advice about whether to buy a car. You make the decision.
What it isn't
- We are not affiliated with the PPSR, any government agency, Apple, or any listing site.
- We don't run PPSR searches for you. You buy your own $2 search from the PPSR and share the certificate with the app.
- A clear result doesn't guarantee a car is sound, unencumbered or honestly described. Nothing replaces seeing the car, checking the seller, and getting a mechanic.
Accuracy
The app reads screenshots and PDFs automatically, so mistakes are possible — a blurry screenshot, an unusual layout, a cut-off page. Always check the details the app shows you against the listing and the certificate itself. If something is missing or unclear, the app says so rather than calling it clear.
Purchases
- Your first car check is free. After that, a single car check or a 30-day pass is bought through Apple, at the price the App Store shows you.
- The 30-day pass is a one-off payment for 30 days of checks. It does not renew automatically.
- A single car check covers that one car, including re-reads and its PPSR certificate, for up to 7 days.
- Fair-use limits apply so one purchase can't be shared endlessly. The app tells you if you reach one.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request them through your Apple account. If something went wrong on our side, email us and we'll sort it out.
Using the app properly
Don't use RegoSnap to break the law, to harass sellers, or to try to get around its limits (for example by faking purchases or hammering the service automatically). We may stop serving checks to a device that does.
Liability
Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond those rights, RegoSnap is provided as-is, and we are not liable for losses arising from a car you bought or didn't buy. Where liability can be limited, it is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the app changes; the date at the top shows when. Questions: rajangrg2982@gmail.com.
